Prairie Rose Opera House

Standing like the grand dame over the property is the Prairie Rose Opera House, boasting over 3,500 square feet of cowboy decor. With seating for 330, the meeting hall has everything needed for any special occasion or gathering. The new sound system and presentation capabilities will help make any event successful.

The Opera House was home to the famous Prairie Rose Chuckwagon Supper for many years and has spotlighted many stars like Michael Martin Murphey, the Sons of the Pioneers, RW Hampton, Roy Rogers Jr, Red Steagall, Rex Allen Jr and many more.  It is still used as the primary venue for all of the shows we continue to host.

Opera House Gazebo

Between the Opera House and a small pond sits the Gazebo. The Opera House Gazebo has a concrete floor, and is equipped with electricity. A sound system is available if needed.

Brides are welcome to wait in the Opera House Mercantile before walking down the wide sidewalk that leads from the Opera House to Gazebo.

Hideout & Recreation Grounds

The Prairie Rose Hideout, the original chuckwagon supper location, is surrounded by hundred year old trees strung with lights and the soft sound of the nearby Whitewater Creek. Complete with a small stage, picnic tables and a fire pit, this is a perfect setting for reunions, parties and gatherings of all kinds.
